Elmer Lee Workman

Elmer Lee Workman, 97 of Fountain Valley, CA, formerly of Kenova, WV, passed away September 9, 2018. He was born April 23, 1921 in Kenova, WV; a son of Millard Workman and Rebecca Riggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister and his daughter, Catherine Shortridge. Elmer leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 78 years., Dorsey June Pack Workman; his son, Michael Workman (Burma); his daughter, Donna White (Ed); and his son-in-law, Stephen Shortridge. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Argie Workman (Alma) and 1 sister, Lelia Ross; and many nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful storyteller and loved to sing. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in WWII. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova, WV. Military Rites will be performed by American Legion Post 93 Honor Guard and the U.S. Navy. Condolences may be expressed to the family at below.18-056
