Elsie Marie Newman

Elsie Marie Newman, 77, of Ringgold, Virginia, went to be with her Lord on Sunday March 13, 2016 at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. K. Williamson. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington. She was born September 26, 1938 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Willard and Blanche Adkins Rickman. She was a homemaker and childcare provider. Her husband Michael Silvio Newman, Sr. preceded her in death as well as three infant sons; one granddaugther Sarah Newman; one sister Dorothy Rickman Brumfield; two brothers Willard Rickman, Jr. and William (Bill) Rickman. She is survived by one son Michael Silvio Newman, Jr.; daughter in law Jeannie of Halifax, Virginia; two daughters Vickie Newman Kreger, son in law Steve of Deltona, Fla., Susan Newman Hall, son in law Milton of Danville, Virginia; grandchildren Laura Norton, Christina Carpenter, Jona Alemen, Jessica Newman, Peyton Newman, Kimberly Smith, Joshua Hall, Jacob Hall and Samantha Newman; great grandchildren Madison Rednickie, Rihonna Alemen, David Rice, Blair Rice, Nathaniel Carpenter, Gunner Smith, Conrad Smith, Eli Hall, Savannah Hall; one brother Jack Rickman; one sister Betty Smith; several nieces, nephews and cousins and four very special friends Allen, Jennifer, Ashleigh Morris and Brittany Mullis.
