Elsie Muncy

Elsie Marie Aleshire Muncy, 92 of Huntington, WV passed away on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Wayne Health Care Center. Service will be private as requested. She was born on 12-15-31 in Madison, WV; the daughter of Hubert and Dona Ball Aleshire. In addition to her parents and brother Arnie Aleshire, she was preceded by her husband McKinley Muncy.

She is survived by her son Roger Muncy (Irene), daughter Diane Aspey, and Maria Bartoe (Jerry). Grandchildren: Brad Fulton, Amanda Bartoe, Jaran Bartoe, Mishae Bartoe, Dawn Michal (Mark), Aimee Decker (Doug), Joy Muncy, Julie Fruchey (Trevor), and several loved great grandchildren. She also had countless friends and neighbors who checked on her daily.

She is known to her family as Granny. The sacrifices and devotion she made for her family is immeasurable. Granny was fiercely loyal to all her family and friends. She drove her kids to school on rainy days even though they only lived three blocks away. She took her grandchildren to Hawaii as their high school graduation celebration. Granny had the inner strength of a warrior and was adamantly independent. Her love and support will be missed by many. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
