Evelyn Dean Thomas

Evelyn Dean Thomas, 88, of Jacksonville, FL., formerly of Ceredo, WV, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at the home of her son in FL. She was born May 15, 1920 in Catlettsburg, KY a daughter to the late Fred Albert and Georgia Louella (Darling) Dean. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Ceredo United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. James Dudley Thomas on June 30, 1951 who preceded her in death on October 4, 1998. She is survived by one son, Charles Stephen Robinson and his wife Darla of Jacksonville, FL. Additional survivors include a sister Mrs. Ruth McCroskey of Huntington; a grandson, Stephen and his wife Kristin Robinson; a granddaughter, Julie and her husband Glenn Nystrand; and three great-granddaughters, Ashlea and Courtney Nystrand and Zoe Robinson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Ceredo United Methodist Church, with Rev. Keith Leap officiating. Burial will follow in the Spring Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 10-11am Thursday at the church. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
