Everett "Frank" Murphy

Everett "Frank" Murphy, 79, of Huntington, WV, husband of the late Susan Elaine Murphy, passed away peacefully July 9, 2024 at St. Mary's Medical Center surrounded by family. Visitation will be conducted on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Reger Funeral Home, Huntington. A procession will leave for the cemetery at 1:30 pm. A graveside service will be conducted in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens at 2 pm in Huntington, W.Va., by Pastor Delbert Dixon. Frank was born on April 3, 1945 in Huntington, WV son of the late Thomas Murphy and Alice Ferguson. He was retired from Superior Cadillac, he found peace in nature and enjoyed porch sitting, bird watching, and watching his tomato plants grow. He loved the beach, waking up early to walk alongside the ocean, finding sea shells along the way. He cherished his Classic Ford Truck, and often found solace in his garage, where he dedicated hours to fixing and tinkering with his projects. He held his family and friends close to his heart. In addition to his late wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Mitchell Short. Additional survivors include son, William Scott Short (Julie); daughter, Beth Ann Osborne (Gerald); nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family.
