Fern Constance Arrowood

Fern Constance Arrowood, 82, of Lavalette, WV., passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 of congestive heart failure at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV. Fern was born on December 29, 1933 in Wayne County, WV ., the daughter of the Late Aletha and Ralph Pyles. Fern was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Porter and Esther Porter, four brothers Namon, Elton, Fisher and Jennings Pyles. Also preceded her in death was her first husband and father of their children Ransom Kelly Blankenship. Fern was a retired EKG technician at the Cabell Huntington Hospital after 28 years of service. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church. Fern is survived by her husband of 44 years H.R. “Hank” Arrowood and three children Sharon(Ira) Queen of Culloden, WV; Eddy Blankenship of West Palm Beach, Fl.: Cheryl (Douglas) Faull of Fairfax, VA., and three grandchildren, Nola Queen of Culloden, WV, Alison “Krissy” Queen of Winchester, KY, and Shawn Faull of Fairfax, VA. Also surviving are a brother Alpha Jay Pyles of Mansfield, Oh., and sister Arbutus Pratt of Port Charlotte, FL. There will be no visitation or funeral services.
