Always a devoted wife and mother, Fleetia also worked in business during their years in Richmond, and then resumed her full time devotion to home and family upon her return to Huntington. She was an active member of Madison Avenue Christian Church and spent many hours at the Huntington YMCA after learning to swim at age 63. Fleetia was predeceased by her sisters, Mae Pack and Juanita Napier, and by her brother Bill Long. She is survived by her children, Marsha (Andy) Costello of Forty Fort, PA, Bill (Cindy) Sims of Pittsburgh, PA, and John Sims and friend Naomi Cox of Huntington, by her grandchildren, Michael (Abby) Costello, Patrick (Amy) Costello, Ben Sims and his fiancee Amy Vanderveen, Mary Sims, Anna Sims, and Tom Sims, and by her great-grandchildren, Eva, Spencer, and Theo Costello. She is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends, especially Mayme Chapman, Rita Rutherford, and Marti and Pete Shepard. The family wishes to acknowledge the many years of compassionate care provided to Fleetia by C. Dewayne Tackett, M.D. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jamie Gump. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV.
