Frank Ellis Brizendine Jr.

Frank E. Brizendine Jr, 86, of Huntington, WV died May 29, 2018. He was the son of Frank and Mary Brizendine. Born July 15, 1931. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen Priddy, his son, Bill Brizendine, the mother of his six children, Billie Jo Van Nostran, and his granddaughter, Crystal Mullen. He is survived by his brother, John Brizendine, and his sister, Mary Rose Milum. Also, his children, Karen Thompson, Barbara Davis, Donna Brizendine, David Brizendine, and Kevin Brizendine. His grandchildren, Erica VanDorin, Patrick Thompson, Johny Thompson, Michael Thompson, Jean Marie Henderson, Monica Davis, Tonya Callicoat, Alex Davis, Drew Davis, Dylan Brizendine, Dakota Brizendine, Adam Brizendine, and Taylor Brizendine, and many great-grandchildren. He was full of love and compassion, a friend to many. As much as he loved his family and friends, he also loved his many dogs and cats over the years. He was generous with his time and resources in his retirement years donating both to the City Mission. Frank also volunteered as a pastoral counselor with Hospice of Huntington and was a volunteer at the VA Hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and he was a man of God. He was dearly loved and he loved dearly. He will be missed for sure. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 pm on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held from 3 pm until service time on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, 1101 6th Ave, Huntington, WV 25701.
