Fred Marley Crabtree

January 14, 1928 — September 19, 2015

Fred was born in Kenova, WV to Clyde and Sarah (Lycan) Crabtree on January 14, 1928. He passed away September 19, 2015. He was a graduate of Marshall University, and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict where he was awarded a Korean Service Medal with a Bronze Campaign Star. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Bert, Dorothy, Ray, Mildred; and his wife Betty. Fred was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. Fred enjoyed golfing and fishing, as well as volunteering for the American Cancer Society and Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Survivors include Priscilla (Scott) Lofsness of Maple Grove, MN; Jane of Defiance, OH; Darla (Tim) Pankratz of Maple Grove, MN; and Rebecca (Pete) Prokofieff, Crystal, MN. Donations may be made to the Defiance County (Ohio) Humane Society, 7169 St. Rt. 15, Defiance, OH 43512.
