Freda V. Starkey

Freda V. Starkey, 81, of Huntington, widow of Floyd Z. Starkey, passed away Thursday February 10, 2005 in St. Mary?s Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at the White Chapel Mausoleum, White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. Burial will follow. She was born July 31, 1923 in Putnam County, WV a daughter of the late Perry G. Nida and Geneva Delphia Arbaugh Nida Pyles. She was a retired selector for Owens-Illinois. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her sister Arbutus Niner and five brothers Buford Nida, Corbet Nida, Herbert Nida, Denzil Nida and Rounda Nida. Survivors include her daughter Patricia S. Adkins of Huntington; a step son Robert Starkey of Barstow, CA.; a nephew Mike and Judy Niner of Wheelersburg, OH and several cousins. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm on Monday at the Reger Funeral Home. There will be no procession to the cemetery.
