G. C. Smythers

G.C. Smythers, 91, of Kenova, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted by Minister David Roach at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, WV. G.C. was born on March 30, 1925 in Catlettsburg, KY to the late Clifford and Edith Jackson Smythers. He was a machine operator and a member of the Ceredo Church of Christ. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Helen Smythers, one son David Smythers, and a brother Jack Smithers. He is survived by a son Michael (Barbara) Smythers, daughters Fran (Kenny) Chambers and Katie (Gary) Harmon, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
