Garland David Hensley

Garland David Hensley, 58, of Hurricane, formerly of Huntington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2023 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am on Friday, October 27, 2023 by Pastor Cledith Campbell at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in Hensley Family Cemetery, Wayne County, W.Va. David was born on August 11, 1965 in Huntington, W.Va. a son of the late Gordon and Tootsie Hensley. He was a machinist for Frontier Tooling and Design. David was a 1983 graduate of Buffalo High School of Wayne County. He was a devout Christian. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ola Gooch; paternal grandparents,  Garland and Violet Hensley; nephew Nathan Hensley; and brother-in-law, Dale Chatterton. He is survived by his son, Brandon Scott Hensley; siblings, Tina Chatterton, Greg (Karen) Hensley, and Gordon "Sonny" Hensley, Jr.; nieces and nephews, Megan (Jacob) McKenzie, Devin Chatterton, Emily Hensley, Cailin (Erik) Queen, Andrea (Ryan) Falls, and Sunnie Henlsey; he also leaves behind many loving family and friends.
