Gary Bennett Thacker, Sr.

Gary Benett Thacker Sr., 63, of Huntington died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center in Huntington. He was born January 9, 1946 in Kenova, WV to the late Chester Thacker and Minnie Fay (Clark) McClin, who survives. Mr. Thacker proudly served his country for several years in the Air Force and the Navy. Survivors include sons Chris and Susan Thacker of Prichard, WV, Gary Thacker Jr., a daughter Kathy Thacker of KY. Additional survivors include a brother Doug and Beryl Thacker of FL, a sister Debbie Ann and Doug Carter, four grandchildren Ravanna, Ryan, Andrew, and Coheen Thacker. In addition to his father, Mr. Thacker was preceded in death by a sister Yvonne Pridemore. Visitation will be from 5-7pm Wednesday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1pm Thursday at the Grafton National Cemetery in Grafton, WV where burial will follow.
