Gary Kirk Jackson

Gary Kirk Jackson, 81, of Ceredo, WV, husband of Lola Smith Jackson, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at his residence.  Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday, March 18, 2025 by Rev. Andrew Tennant at Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington.  Kirk was born February 15, 1944 in Holden, WV, a son of the late Dover Buster and Delta Smith Jackson.  He was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Vietnam War where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star.  Kirk was a WV State Trooper serving in Logan County and was a foreman with Chafin Coal Company in Logan.  He loved motorsports especially dirt track cars.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers Gerald Dover Jackson, Carrol Wendell Jackson and Bruce Buell Jackson.  Additional survivors include his children Stacy Kirk Jackson (Angie), Heather Moore (Chris), Kari Hoback and Kenneth Todd Hoback; grandchildren Kyla Jackson, Anastasia Noel, Zack Bledsoe, Brooke Waugaman and Chase Moore; great grandchildren Madelynn Jackson, Remington Noel and Ryker Bledsoe; numerous nieces and nephews including Portia Leonard who was like a sister to Kirk.  There will be no visitation or procession to the cemetery.  Reger Funeral Home, Ceredo-Kenova Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences may be made at www.regerfh.com.
