George Cecil Smith

George Cecil Smith Sr., 79 of Kenova, WV passed away at Cabell Huntington Hospital on February 6, 2016. He was born on January 23, 1937 in Wayne County, WV; a son of James Dewey Smith Sr. and Mamie Bell Neal. George was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Angela Dawn Smith and Willena Sheree Smith; his siblings James Dewey Smith Jr., Harold Smith, William Smith, Mary Kelley, Eugene Smith, Wilma Salyers and one infant that was unnamed. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his companion of 43 years, Patricia Mae Wickline; his children: George Cecil Smith Jr. (Christy), Betty Jane Lewis (Nelson), Randy Alan Smith, Timothy Scott Smith, Anna Lou Miller (Tim), Stephen Joseph Smith (Rita), Christy Michelle Helmer (David), and Shelley Yvonne Rowan (Mike). Also surviving are his 18 grandchildren: Jeff Smith, Jill Smith, Kelly Lewis, Lee Ramey, Melissa Fowler, Justin Smith, Jon Jon Smith, Emily Smith, Holly Smith, Angela Keim, Stephen Smith Jr., Corey White, Adam Cremeans, Danielle Henry, Shannon Helmer, Breanna Ross, Gary Harrison and Brianna LaFond; 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Funeral services for George will be conducted on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Keith Waters officiating, the visitation will be one hour prior; Burial to follow at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Ceredo, WV.
