George Edward Jessie

George Edward Jessie, 90, of Ceredo, WV, widower of Juanita Tabor Jessie, passed away peacefully to his heavenly home on December 23, 2020 at his residence.  He was born February 12, 1930 in Olive Hill, Kentucky, a son of the late Lonnie and Ruby Wilson Jessie.  George was a teamster from the age of ten delivering coal from the family farm with a horse and wagon and lastly driving a bus for the Fun Agers at the First Baptist Church of Ceredo.  He was devoted to his family and church.  In addition to his parents and wife he was also preceded in death by a brother Don Jessie of Olive Hill, KY.  George is survived by one daughter Deborah K. Workman (Jerry) and one grandson Michael Workman (Jess) all of Huntington and one sister Sue Tackett of Olive Hill, KY along with special nieces and nephews.  Private graveside services will be conducted on December 30 at Crescent Hill Cemetery, Ceredo, WV by Pastor Jeff Canterbury.  There will be no visitation.  The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and special caregiver nurses Darcy, Creesha and Melissa.  Reger Funeral Home and Crematory Ceredo-Kenova Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com .
