George Edward Kline

George Edward Kline, 87, of Huntington, WV passed away peacefully at home on February 5, 2015. He was born on October 10, 1927 in Lavalette, WV. He was the son of Raymond Kline and Cootsie Jane Bailey. After serving in WWII in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Malcomb, he returned home and worked for over 35 years at Owens Illinois Glass Factory. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Charmaine, his son Michael and two sisters. He leaves behind his much loved and cherished daughters, Jennifer Rae Soule of Stuart, FL and Georgina Lee Derbyshire of Huntington, WV, his 5 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was especially close to his great-grandsons, Cameron and Max. George loved his �Sherwood Boys�, especially his �brother�, Warren Maynard; special mention goes to Carla Johnson. He liked to fish and hunt, but most of all, he loved his vegetable garden. He shared its bounty with everyone. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Visitation for George will be on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Glen Robinson of First Wesleyan Church of Huntington officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memorial Gardens, Huntington, WV.
