Rev. 22:7 George Ira Bickar, 74, of Huntington was unexpectedly ushered into the presence of his Lord on August 31, 2009 leaving behind his beloved wife, Nina F. Plaster Bickar of 52 years and their precious children Karen Plaster Fischer and her husband Tim. George was born June 5th 1935, a son of the late George T. and Victoria Simmons Bickar. Also surviving are special brothers and sisters in law, Kenneth Plaster, Mary Plaster and Carl and Betty Kilgore; very dear friends/cousins Margaret and Don Brooks, as well as a large host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. George proudly served his country in the USMC before beginning a 25 year career with the Huntington Fire Department. Following retirement, he was a Cabell County School bus driver for 8 years. He was a member and deacon of Trinity Freewill Baptist Church for over 25 years. Loved by everyone he met, he will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 8 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Jody Fortner.
