GEORGEANN MARY WARD WARFUEL, 56, of Huntington, wife of William Warfuel, passed away Monday, July 12, 2004, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A funeral liturgy will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday by Father Jim Sobus at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Huntington. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born April 2, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of Mary Mastronie Ward and the late George D. Ward. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Joanie and Gabe Smith of Huntington and her dear friend Maria Reger Worley of San Antonio, Texas. Georgeann was a lifelong educator, having graduated from Marshall University with a B.A. in Education and a Master?s degree in Counseling. She taught at Sacred Heart Grade School and St. Joseph High School, where she was also a guidance counselor. She was the principal at St. Joseph Grade School in Huntington and an Assistant Principal at St. Agnes Grade School in Kanawha City, W.Va. After 30 years in the Catholic School System, she retired and opened Bella Consignment on 20th Street in Huntington with her sister, Joanie Ward Smith. Georgeann was an active tutor until she passed away. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 545 Norway Ave., Huntington, WV 25705.
