Geraldine Mae Foster

Geraldine Mae Foster, 87, of Huntington, peacefully passed on Thursday, September 12, 2024.

She was born on June 4, 1937, to Sarah Mae Evans and Floyd Harrison Winkler in Huntington, WV, and lived a life filled with immense love for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the lord.

Geraldine was an avid reader and fierce card player with a weakness for Russell Stovers chocolates. Her love for books has led to a collection of Romance and Stephen King novels large enough to be considered a library.

Geraldine lived her life the best she knew and left this earth wishing for her family to find happiness and peace. Her children could not have asked for a more loving, kind, and generous mother. She was the best. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing that she will once again be reunited with her loving husband and sister.

Geraldine was predeceased by her parents Sarah and Floyd, her sister Glenda Carter, and her loving husband James Woodrow Foster.

She is survived by her children, Steven Foster (wife Pamela Foster), Terry Foster (wife Maria Foster), Randy Foster (Wife Amelia Foster), Joseph Foster, James Foster, Benjamin Foster, Jeremy Foster (wife Robin Foster), and an abundance of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Geraldine will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 1 pm at the Foster Whispering Pines Cemetery. There will be no visitation or procession to the cemetery. Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, will be overseeing the arrangements.
