Gloria Jean Algeo

April 23, 1950 — March 8, 2022

In the quiet hours of the morning on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, Gloria Jean (Gibson) Algeo soared into the arms of Jesus. She is already so missed, but we rejoice that she is no longer suffering. Gloria was born on April 23rd, 1950, to Carl Edward and Pansy Louise (Belvin), who both preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Carol Louise Gibson and Shirley (Larry) Scarberry. She leaves behind her husband, Charles "Dave" Algeo. They would have celebrated their Golden 50th Wedding Anniversary this upcoming November. She also leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Joye (Craig) Tucker and a loving son, Charles "Chuck" II, both of Barboursville, along with her grandkids, Joseph and Emma-Lee Tucker, whom she adored. In addition, she leaves behind a sister, Tracy (Jeff) Gordon and a brother Gregg (Janet) Scarberry, as well as "adopted in love" daughter Jillian (Jamie) White, Also mourning her passing are nieces Tomi Lynn (Steve) Coley, Carol (David) Beckett, Kate (Ricky) Riggall, Cassidy Hatfield, and nephews Matthew Lucas, Jordan (Caitlyn) Adkins and Cole Adkins. In addition, surviving are great-nieces Shayla (Jay) Cox, Jessyca (Ronald) McClellan, Sadie Adkins, and great-nephews Christopher Beckett, Caden Adkins and Carter Riggall, along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and countless friends. The Family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to River Cities Community Church for the visits, flowers, calls and prayers. We would also like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their care and assistance in Gloria's final few days on this Earth. She repeatedly said that she wanted to go Home to be with Jesus and to see her Momma and her sister, Shirley. She has undoubtedly seen them all with perfect eyesight and is now carefree in the presence of our precious Jesus. As per Gloria's wishes, there will be no services. HEAVEN by Pansy (Gloria's Momma) One of these days before too long, I'll stand before the King. I'll be wearing a pure white robe and a brand new song I'll sing. Upon my head He'll place a crown and then He'll say to me, "Welcome child, Come on in and live eternally." Then I'll enter the Pearly Gates and walk down the Golden Street. I'll see those walls of Jasper and by The River of Life I'll meet. All of my friends and loved ones and the Saints of yester-year. We'll be so happy forever for God will wipe away each tear. There'll be no sickness in Heaven, our bodies will be made new. No one will be blind or crippled or tired or hungry or blue. We can worship our Savior forever - there'll never be a night. We'll need no sun up in the sky for Jesus will be The Light.
