Gloriadene �Bootsie� Drown, 74 of Clayton, NC., formerly of Rt.75 Kenova, WV., passed away Thursday, November 05, 2009, at home in Clayton , NC. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Rev. George M. Plantz officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery. She was born June 10, 1935, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Esque Small. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Drown, Jr., who died June 24, 1985, and a sister, Helen Louise Spry, a son, John Wesley Drown, and a granddaughter, Crystal Lee Drown. Survivors include sons; Delbert Drown III, of Huntington WV., Robert Lee Drown and wife Andrea of Kenova, WV, Frank Jeffery Drown and wife Donna, of Huntington, WV, David Allen Drown, of New Hampshire. Daughters; Linda Louise Richards and husband Fred, of Clayton, NC., Dorothy Marie Mount and husband Gary, of Milton, WV., and Lula Mae Sharp, of Kenova , WV.; 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. A brother, Robert Small and wife Delores, of Huntington, WV, along with many other extended family and friends who were very special to momma. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home. A special Thank you goes to 3-H C Hospice Services of Johnston Co. NC, and Dr. Sharon Taylor and all the wonderful nurses at Duke Raleigh Cancer Center, Raleigh NC.
