Gregory Vernon Smith

Gregory Vernon Smith, 54, of Worthington, Kentucky, husband of Pauline Sue Porth Smith, passed away Tuesday April 26, 2022 at King's Daughters Medical Center, Ashland, KY. He was born September 11, 1967, in Huntington, WV, a son of Wanda Jeffers Smith and the late George Vernon Smith. Additional survivors include his two children Mark Smith (Misty Marshall) and Gregory Smith, Jr. (Kayla); his two step sons Cory Hall and Zane Hall; his grandchildren Jaden Frye, Gregory Smith, III and Maverick Smith; his siblings Vanda Smith Howell (Gary) and Kevin Smith (Dena); nephews Cody Smith and Casey Smith and a very special niece Courtney Tyson and great niece Maja Jackson. Greg loved fishing more than anything. He loved fishing on his boat that he called "Precious." He fished local pay lakes, lakes and the Ohio River and if he thought there was a fish in a mud puddle he would have fished that too. He is dearly missed by family and friends. A Celebration of LIfe service will be conducted on Saturday, May 14th at 2 pm at the Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 2909 Rt 75, Huntington, W.Va. Contributions may be made at www.regerfh.com.
