Harry Lee Diamond, 78, passed away on November 3, 2024, in Huntington, WV. Born on April 26, 1946, in Williamson, WV, he was a son to the late Ralph and Jane Diamond. Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Diamond; sisters, Annabell Kirk and Lorraine Smith; and close friend, Ross Eddy.
Harry was a devoted husband to Sharon and a loving father to Mary Jane Toney and Julie Thompson. He was also a cherished father-law to David Ray Toney and Rick Thompson; and a dear brother to Mary Paul and Pansy Paul. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael (Courtney) and Nicolas (Savanna) Stump, David Toney; and great-grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Zoey, Michael Lee, Eli, Caden, Tori, Destiny, Cashton, and Archer; and his great grand dogs, Tig and Harley.
Harry proudly served his country as an Army veteran, completing two tours in Vietnam. His time in the service was marked by a strong commitment to his fellow soldiers and to the nation. After his military service, Harry dedicated 37 years at Calgon Carbon, where he was respected for his expertise and work ethic.
An avid outdoorsman, Harry found peace and enjoyment in hunting, fishing and gun trading, hobbies that he pursued passionately. He was also a faithful member of the Beulah Freewill Baptist Church, where he engaged actively in the community and spiritual life.
His life will be honored at Reger's Funeral Home in Huntington, WV. Visitation is scheduled from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on the following day at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, with burial at 2:00pm at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast where military honors will be accorded.
Harry's unique personality left an indelible mark on all who knew him. He will be remembered fondly for his stories of dinosaurs, aliens and the mothman, his laughter, and his unwavering spirit.
