Helen Lorraine Chapman

Helen Lorraine (Newman) Chapman, 87, of Ashland, KY, formerly of Ceredo died Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at Woodland Oaks Health Care Center in Ashland. She was born July 30, 1918 in Huntington a daughter to the late Jesse B. Newman and Goldie Emma (Darnell) Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Chapman. Mrs. Chapman is survived by a sister Lois Conner of Ceredo, three nephews; Buel EuGene Conner and his wife Caroll of Ceredo, Bill Conner of Kenova, and Buel Burton Newman of CA; and two nieces Lois Emajane Schubert of CA, Anita Billups of OH. Additional survivors include a host of other nieces, nephews, and one special niece, Sheila Larsen who spent much time and love with her in her last days. Graveside services for Mrs. Chapman will be 1:00pm Thursday at the Ridgelawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Rodney Hale officiating. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
