HELENA GILKERSON GAEGER, 81, formerly of Huntington, W.Va., and the last three years of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2004, at St. Mary?s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Bruce Day. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, W.Va. She was born July 18, 1922, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Hansford and Lou Mathews Gilkerson. She was a retired crew leader with Owens-Illinois Glass Company with 37 years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband of 26 years, Robert K. Gaeger, Sr.; a son David R. Gaeger; three brothers, Jack Gilkerson, George Gilkerson and Millard 'Buck' Gilkerson; and one granddaughter, Michelle Russell. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Robert K. Gaeger Jr. and Tammy of Ashland, Ky.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judith and Lennie Jave of Johnston, Iowa and Linda and Greg Lusher of Prichard, W.Va.; 10 grandchildren, Ryan Gaeger of Jacksonville, Fla., Shannon Brangaccio of Orange Park, Fla., Tonya Holbert of Vienna, W.Va., Suzanne Lusher of Huntington, Greg Lusher Jr. of Grayson, Ky., Wendy McCaskill of Palmetto, Fla., Kelly Gaeger of Orlando, Fla., David Gaeger Jr., Allison Smith and Brett Gaeger, all of Huntington; two stepgrandsons, Dan Jave of Des Moines, Iowa and James Jave of Baltimore, Md.; nine great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-granddaughters; and three sisters, Aldena Gilkerson, Silvia White and Tinabelle Ferguson. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Reger Funeral Home.
