Inez Virginia Mayo

Inez Virginia Hutchinson Mayo, 87, left this Earth for her eternal home in Heaven on Tuesday June 4th, 2024 at Madison Park Healthcare. Inez was born on August 24th, 1936 in Huntington West Virginia to the late Bert and Virginia Stanley Hutchinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Eugene Mayo; one daughter Ada Mayo Olah; two sons Charles “Chuck” Mayo and Esten Mayo; one daughter-in-law Judy Wells Mayo; one grandson Tyson Mayo; one sister Eva Gail Wilson; two brothers Stanley Neil Hutchinson and Roger Dale Hutchinson, and one nephew Tony Wilson.

She is survived by her daughter Tana Hensley; grandchildren Frank Arthur (Kelli), Angela Hall (Mark), Matthew Hensley (Rachel), Courtney Cleveland (Christopher Grimes), Amanda Damron, and Kristin Bennett (Jeremy); great-grandchildren Matthew Queen, Allison Johnson (Ryan), Tyson Cleveland, Shannon Cleveland, Jacob Hensley, Joshua Hensley, Sara Grace Hensley, Blake Bennett, Bryson Bennett, and Brody Bennett; One great-great grandson who is due in November 2024; son-in-law Scott Hensley; nephew Dallas Wilson; brother and sister in laws Bonnie Fitzpatrick (Sam), Charles Mayo (Diana), Martha Nelson, and Tim Mayo (Donna). She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and friends including Bob Click.

Although Inez’s passing leaves a void in the ones who loved her dearly, they are choosing to remember that they are simply burying the pain, suffering and heartache. They find solace in the fact that she is reunited in Heaven with her family and with Jesus, and that she is now free from the burden of pain.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 8th at Reger Funeral Home Ceredo Kenova Chapel. The funeral service will begin immediately following visitation at 1:00 with Pastor Mark Booth officiating.  Burial will follow in Mayo Cemetery, Huntington.  Condolences may be made at www.regerfh.com.
