James Burgess Bentley

James Burgess Bentley, 94, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Madison Park. A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Huntington, WV. Burial will follow. James was born on September 16, 1923 in Cabell County to the late William Mount and Sarah Alice Thomas Bentley. He was a traffic control officer for the City of Huntington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jane Bentley; two brothers, Maerlin and Bobby Bentley; and a sister, Loretta Lycans. He is survived by his son Jim (Amber) Bentley; two grandchildren Dylan (Bethany) Bentley and Katie Bentley; a brother, Terry Bentley; and a sister, Barbara Garrido. Friends may call from 11 am until 12:30 pm at the Reger Funeral Home. A procession will leave at 12:30 pm to Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
