James Dwayne Bates

James Dwayne Bates, 65, of Huntington, WV passed away on Monday, January10, 2022 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington, WV, by Pastor Rick Neal. Burial will follow in Baylous Cemetery. He was born on November 12, 1956 in Chicago, IL the son of Robert Bates and the late Christine Byrd Bates. He was an appliance repairman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death his wife Elizabeth Gale Holley Bates and a sister, Peggy Miller. He is survived by his three sons, Keith Bates, Steven Smith and Roger Smith; three sisters, Belinda Tuley, Theresa Maretta and Patty Hasan; and numerous grand children and great grandchildren.
