James L. Kimbler, 68, of Ceredo, W.Va. passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at Cabell Hospital. He had been employed by the State of W.Va. and had been disabled for several years. He had proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines. Jim or "Grandad" as he was commonly known especially enjoyed bragging about his grandkids and watching their sport activities. He was born in Ceredo the son of the late David and Mary Ann Carver Kimbler. Surviving him is his loving wife Elizabeth Wallace Kimbler: three daughters, Teresa Evans (Tony Pennington), Tina Wooten (Michael) and Tammy Kimbler: six grandchildren, Anthony, Billy, Autumn, Michael, Stephanie and James: two great-grandchildren, Jessica and Malcolm. Also, surviving are brothers and sisters, Noah Kimbler, Scott Kimbler, Margaret Paul, Dorothy Hale and Thelma Frazier. Services will be conducted on Saturday, May 1st at 1:00pm by Pastor Scott Byard at Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with burial to follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 am until time for services.
