James Michael Smith

James Michael Smith, 55, of Prichard, W.Va., passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a long illness, in his home surrounded by his children and family. He was born at Cabell Huntington Hospital to Bonnie Bellomy Smith of Ft. Gay, W.Va. and the late Samuel R. Smith also of Fort Gay, W.Va. He was a long time sawyer and loader operator around the tri-state area for many years. Jimmy leaves behind three children, Angela (Nikki) Collins, James Smith, and Ayden Smith; a mother, Bonnie Smith; and brother, Robert Smith. He was a papaw to five grandchildren, Jacob Smith, Blake Adkins, Harvey Dowden, Eli Smith, and Charlie Collins. He had multiple loving aunts, cousins, and family members along with special friends, Samanth Dowden and Steven Horn. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wally Smith; father, Samuel Smith; uncle's, Ralph Bellomy and David and Robert Smith; and grandparents, Cora Smith and Walter and Ella Bellomy. There are no services at this time. Reger Funeral Home, Huntington is assisting the family with arrangements.
