Janet Kay Conn

Janet Kay Conn, 66, of Huntington passed away February 15, 2010 at St. Marys Medical Center after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Post #93 Ladies Auxiliary of Kenova. She was born the daughter of the late Virgil Ellis Harper and Faye Brown Harper in Van, W.Va. Janet is survived by her long time companion Edward Adkins. She is also survived by five children, Ellen Fay and Sonny Bowles, Donna and Duane Wilson, James McDaniel, David and Fiance� Katrina McDaniel, and Cathy Adkins, all of Huntington, seven brothers and sisters, Ruth Hobbs, Zella Patterson, Donita Starkey, Roger Harper, Gene Harper, Jerry Harper, and Carmen Scott. Additional survivors include special grandchildren Jennifer Maynard and Isaac Duling along with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Friday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Rev. James VanZandt officiating. Burial will follow in the Adkins Family Cemetery in Prichard. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
