JENNIE BELLE MAYNARD, 89, of Huntington, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in St. Mary?s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by the Rev. C.J. Adkins. Burial will be in Susie?s Chapel Cemetery, Cabell County, W.Va. She was born Feb. 24, 1914, in Wayne County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Johnny Perdue and Georgia Jones Perdue Berry. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westmoreland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lafe Maynard; a daughter, Delores Eileen Maynard; a special grandson, Danny Eugene Maynard; two brothers, Howard W. Perdue and Paul Perdue; and a nephew, Johnny Mack Perdue. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Thena Maynard and Danny and Beverly Maynard, all of Huntington; a daughter and son-in-law, Kay Spencer Ball and Todd Ball of Huntington; four grandchildren, Michele and Dale Parsons of Douglasville, Ga., Mark and Tracy Spencer of Greenville, S.C., Angela Maynard of Huntington and Crystal and Ryan Maynard of Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Jacob Parsons, Lauren Spencer, Kate Spencer, Kristen Maynard and Danielle Maynard; and several nieces and nephews. Mom fought brave and courageous battles with cancer five times during 7 1/2 years. The family wishes to express special thanks to Dr. Kimmey and staff and the C.C.U. staff and doctors at St. Mary?s Medical Center and also a special thanks to family, friends and neighbors for calls, food and cards. She was deeply loved by all and will be sadly missed. We will miss her so much.
