Jesse Jones

Jesse Jones, 70, of Huntington passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at St. Mary?s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel with Pastor Keith Wiebe, Jr. officiating. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation is from 6 to 8 pm Friday at the Reger Funeral Home. Jesse was born November 1, 1934 in Wayne County, a son of the late Charles and Lille Jones. The Marshall University graduate was a lifelong educator and administrator. Survivors include wife, Phyllis Jones, sons Greg Jones and David Jones, sisters Ernestine Pratt and Faye Stephens, in-laws Dr. Frances E. Jones, Frances and Jack Compton, Loretta and Jerry Adkins, Dorreen Jones, grandchildren Ashley Jones, Emily Jones and Brittany Jones, plus many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by sisters Ada Wilkes and Edith Plymale and a brother, Dr. Clyde Jones.
