Joan Hensley

Joelene Jane �Joan� (Hodge) Hensley, 78 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born May 14, 1933 in Sheridan, WV to the late William Edward and Fannie Frances (Arix) Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Dean Hensley, a son Kevin Shawn Hensley, and a son-in-law Zachary Burdine. Mrs. Hensley was a member of the Highlawn Full Gospel Assembly. Survivors include her children Barbara (Ellis) Moore, Michael Nick Hensley, William Anthony (Kathy) Hensley, Nancy Burdine, Steven Allen Hensley, Penny (Charles L. II) Henry, Bobby lee (Tara) Hensley, and John Eric (Laurie) Hensley. Additional survivors include a brother Eddie Hodge, a sister Jean Bollinger, a special great grandchild Maddie Burdine, 18 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm Saturday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Pastor Danny McCloud officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Friday at the funeral home.
