Joe M. Preston

Joe M. Preston, 77, of Ashland, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Oakmont Manor Nursing Home in Russell, KY. He was born February 9, 1932 in Patrick, KY a son to the late Arthur and Gladys (Borders) Preston. Mr. Preston proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a retired Clerk at the Cabinet Supplier Company of Huntington. He united in marriage to Patricia Ann Doyle who survives. To this union were born three children, Deborah and Del Gallion of Raleigh, NC, Brenda and Keb Baldock of Lexington, KY, and Scott Preston of Ashland, KY. Other survivors include his brothers and sisters Deryle and Jess Martin of Boyd Co, KY, Wallace Preston of Westwood, KY, JoAn and Ronnie Hatfield of Charlotte, NC, and Gaynell and Ralph O�neal of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren Laura Bet and Travis Fuller, Jason Baldock, Tyler Gallion, and David Preston; and great-grandchildren Garrett and Emerson. Mr. Preston was preceded in death by a brother Earl Preston. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Ashland Heights Wesleyan Church 2271 Sellars St., Ashland, KY 41101. In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to the Ashland Heights Wesleyan Church. Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
