John Alan Taylor

John A. Taylor, born March 27, 1949 went to be with the Lord on September 25th, 2014 after a long, courageous fight. He leaves behind his wife of 34 years, Rebecca (Palmer) Taylor, Amy Davis and Carrie Horn, son in laws Mark Davis (Brannon) and Steve Horn, grandchildren Hannah Davis, Spencer Davis, Andrew Davis, Lily Davis, Emily King, Afton Horn, Eleanora Horn and Charlotte Horn, brother Robert Taylor and dear friend Chuck Taylor as well as countless extended family and friends who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Adele (Sullivan) Taylor and his brother Jack Taylor. John was a L/Cpl in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam era and served with the 3rd Marine engineer battalion. He also co-founded and managed American Print Solutions (APS) in Charlotte, NC. He was a 1967 graduate of Fairland High School in Proctorville, Ohio. The viewing will be held on Thursday, October 2nd from 6-8 PM and Friday from 1- 2 PM with the funeral immediately following at Reger Funeral Home, 1242 Adams Ave, Huntington, WV. Burial will be held at the Taylor Family Cemetery following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the funeral home to assist the family with financial expenses.
