John Franklin Given

John Franklin Given, 83, of Huntington, passed away on Monday January 17, 2011 at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 21, 2011 at noon at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Rev. Steven Grimes. Burial will follow at Rome Cemetery. John was retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Company and a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. John was born on November 25, 1927 in Huntington, WV the son of the late Bennie R. and Ethel Dean Given. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife; Billie Jean Roberts Given, one daughter; Rebecca Friedman, on brother and sister: Delmer Given and Eunice Mitchell. He is survived by his wife Judith Judy Selbee Given. One daughter and son in law: Marla and Jack Kitts of Machesney Park, IL Two grand children and spouse: Angela and Joe Faron of Machesney Park, IL and Leslie Friedman of Sanford, FL. Two great grandchildren: Dominick and Adriana Faron of Machesney Park.
