Joseph Anthony Beter, 58, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday August 28, 2018 at his residence. Funeral liturgy will be conducted at 10 am Friday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church by Father Paul Yuenger. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born March 22, 1960 in Huntington, the son of Joyce Ann Newton Pacer and the late George D. Beter. He was a graduate of HEHS and attended Wheeling Jesuit College. A loving son, brother and uncle, Joe was in the wholesale seafood business for 20 years in Florida, who then returned home and became a successful business owner opening Jewel City Seafood in the year 2000. Joe was known for his very kind and loving heart. In addition to his mother he is survived by three sisters Marlene Moore of Orlando, Fla., Teresa L. Beter and Amy R. Anderson (Dickie) all of Huntington; nieces and nephews; Samantha M. Fleming (Stephen), Mason Anderson, Nikki Wilds (Nick); great nieces and nephews: Genevieve, Brooklynn, Cannon and Brady and Joe's girlfriend Georgia Maynard and life long friend Billy Knight. Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm Thursday at the Reger Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church Parking Lot Fund or Our Lady of Fatima School.
