Joseph L. "Joe" Wilson

Joseph L. “Joe” Wilson, 72, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Ivan Dixon. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born September 22, 1946 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Charles Wilson and Sara Sibley “Tootie” Wilson. Joe was a veteran of the US Air Force and retired with twenty years of service from the WV Army National Guard. He was also a member of the WV State Council of Vietnam Veterans, the American Legion Post 16 of Huntington and the Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 949. Survivors include his wife of 22 ½ years Frema Wilson; two sons Charles Robert Wilson and Joseph S. Wilson; a daughter and son in law Jennifer and Thurston Tabor all of Huntington; two step sons and their spouses Ivan and Rachael Dixon of North Carolina and Scott and Kim Dixon of Utah; thirteen grandchildren; brother Terry Wilson of Texas and sister and brother in law Sara and Richard Noonan of California.
