Josephine Mary Bickar

Josephine Mary Bickar, 98, of Huntington, widow of John R. Bickar, passed away Thursday August 8, 2013 at her residence. Funeral liturgy will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Father Livinus Uba. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Huntington. She was born January 19, 1915 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Aloysius M. and Helena Herrick Blatt. She was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Ella Butler and she was the last surviving member of the A. M. Blatt family having been preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters. Survivors include a son and daughter in law Joseph and Debra Bickar; daughter Mary Ann Bickar; grandchildren Jonathan Holley, Jeffrey Bickar and Jessica Black; three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 10 am until service time Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Contributions may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
