Julia May Sullivan

Julia May Sullivan, 87, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Woodlands Retirement Community. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Kevin Mackey at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington. She was born on May 30, 1936, in Estherville, Iowa, a daughter of the late Gustav and Zelma Esther Wetzbarger Olsen. She was a graduate of Augustana College, Sioux Falls, SD. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, knitting, crocheting, reading, feeding and watching birds. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Don Sullivan; and one brother, Alfred Olsen. She is survived by son and family, Brad (Rhonda) Sullivan; granddaughters, Stacy (Kevin), Amanda (Cameron); great grandchildren, Karson, Kipton, Kase, Klayton, Scout, Pike, and Osborne. Daughter and family, Lisa (Mark) Robertson. Son and family, David (Pamela) Sullivan; grandson, Jason, and granddaughter, Katelyn. She is also survived by brothers, Dwayne Olsen, Lyman Olsen, and Arthur Olsen. The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers at Woodlands Assisted Living, Sonja Adkins, Sara Withrow, Kathy Riggall, Amanda Ross, Patricia Watson, and Melinda Rakes. Friends may call from noon until service time on Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home.
