Keith Erastus Mays

Keith Erastus Mays, 79 of Huntington, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. He was born on January 31, 1935 in Wayne County, WV; a son of the late Erastus Mays and Rebecca Staley. He retired as a cook from the VA Medical Center, Huntington, WV and was a member of the Faith Freewill Baptist Church in Lavalette and a US Army Veteran. He leaves behind to mourn his loss his beloved great nephew Todd (Missy) Mays. Keith was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Clifford and Leo Mays, and his sisters, Opal Walker, Delores Harmon and Leiusetta Doss and his niece Doris Mays and three very special great-nephews: Terry Mays, Teddy Mays and Steve Wilks and his loving companion Katherine Lewis. Surviving are his brother Glen (Judy) Mays, his niece Betty (Zim) Riley and his nephews Ted Mays and Jack (Brenda) Mays. Also surviving are his precious great-great nieces Laura Gene Mays and Leah Bell Mays and his beautiful great-great-great nephew Tripp Mays and many other loving nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 9, 2014 at 2 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Danny Roberts officiating with burial to follow at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Wayne County, WV. The visitation will take place on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
