Kenneth Ray Tackett

Kenneth Ray Tackett, 55, of Proctorville, OH passed away Tuesday November 20, 2007 at his home. Mr. Tackett was a veteran and was very proud to have served his country in the United States Army. He was born April 18, 1952 in Madison, WV to the late Herbert Hoover Tackett and Gertrude (Jarrell) Tackett who survives. He is survived by one son, Kenneth Ray Tackett, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, a granddaughter Kayla Reed Tackett and a special nephew Steven Craig Tackett. Additional survivors include four sisters; Katherine K. Smith of Logan, WV, Shelley Renee Miller of Pecks Mill, WV, Tina Elaine Tackett and Kristi Ann Carey of Chapmanville, WV, one brother; Steven Craig Tackett, several nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Mr. Tackett also leaves behind a very dear friend Jean Walters of Proctorville, OH, and special friend Rick McCormick He was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Rodney Tackett and a very special friend Tyler Walters. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Sunday at the Victory Freewill Baptist Church in Pecks Mill, WV with Rev. Roscoe �Rocky� Chafin and Rev. Dean Sparks officiating. Burial will be at 12:00 Noon Monday in Grafton National Cemetery in Grafton, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Saturday at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home and one hour prior to service Sunday at the church.
