Kenny P. Chambers

July 23, 1946 — September 5, 2024

Kenneth Paul Chambers, 78, of Huntington, WV, was born on July 23, 1946, to the late Donald and Judy Chambers. On September 5, 2024, Kenneth peacefully went to be with the Lord, with his family by his side.

Kenny was predeceased by his brother Nick Chambers. He is survived by Nick’s wife, Joan Chambers, who was a dear sister-in-law to him. He was a devoted husband to Fran Chambers, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they raised three children: Jeff (Tammy) Chambers, Jennifer (Dave) Douglas, and Brian Chambers, who cherish the memory of their father’s unwavering love and dedication.

Kenny was the proud pawpaw and great-pawpaw to Dakotah (Katie) Chambers, Jordan (Michael) Lien, Cameron Douglas, Gabe Chambers, Nolan Chambers, Benny Lien, and Owen Lien. His joy and energy were evident in every moment he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, leaving an everlasting impact and memory that they will cherish forever.

He is also survived by his brother Randy (Tootie) Chambers, who, along with several nieces and nephews, holds fond memories of Kenny’s lively spirit and generous heart. Kenny was a "go-getter," as his family would often say; he never let a moment go to waste and was always on the move. His dedication to his family was unmatched, and his presence was a source of strength and comfort to those around him, always able to bring a laugh and smile to anyone’s face with his quick wit.

Kenny was a dedicated boilermaker in Local 105 for 37 years, where he was known for his hard work and commitment to his trade. He was also a faithful member of the Ceredo Church of Christ, where he found joy in celebrating the Lord with his brothers and sisters in Christ.

Kenny enjoyed simple pleasures like attending his grandkids’ and great-grandson Gabe’s ball games, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. He also had a unique passion for mowing grass; you could find him behind a mower all through the summer, keeping his lawn and others looking just right. These activities brought him immense joy and were a true reflection of his love for his family and friends.

Services for Kenny will be held at noon on September 7, 2024, at the Ceredo Church of Christ.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova.  Friends may call from 11 am until service time on Saturday at the church.  Reger Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, a reflection of Kenny’s generous spirit and his love for helping others.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.regerfh.com.
