Larry Franklin Mayo, 72, of Ceredo, WV, passed away Sunday June 12, 2022 at the Herschel "Woody" Williams VA Medical Center. He was born December 3, 1949, in Henderson, Texas a son of the late James Wilie and Betty Sue Thomas Mayo. He was a retired auto mechanic. Larry was a Corporal in the US Army during the Vietnam War, having received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and a Purple Heart. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Marietta Mayo and sister Deborah Sue Holland. Survivors include his children Tracy Lynn Bales (Rochelle), Michelle Dawn Cheuvront (Joy Nicole), Jennifer Ann Hubbard (John) and James Marvin Mayo (Brandy Lynn); grandchildren Angela, Andrew, Alexandrea, Zach, Chad, Shawn, Jaycob, Allison, Ethan, John, Jr., Ryleigh and Wyatt; great grandchildren Easton and Barrett; brother Terry Culwell Mayo; niece Shannon Deann and nephew James Preston. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm Wednesday June 15, 2022 at the Reger Funeral Home and Crematory Ceredo-Kenova Chapel. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV.
