Leona G. Epperson

Leona G. Epperson, 81, of Ashland, KY, went to be with the Lord November 11, 2023.  Preceded in death was her husband of 35 years, John E. Epperson, Jr.  In addition to her husband, was her parents Charles and AnnaBelle McDonald, and her three brothers Charles (Sharon), Sam (Patricia) and Patrick McDonald.  Left behind to honor her memory are her four sons, John "Eddie" (Michele), Chris (Tina), Sam (Theresa) and Brian (Wenda), eight beloved grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.  Over the years she worked as a cook for various places including Chevron on Winchester Avenue and Pathways.  She loved to cook and many people enjoyed eating her meals.  You could usually find her sitting on her porch watching the squirrels and bird and looking at her flowers especially her roses.  There will be a celebration of life service on Saturday November 25 at 5 pm at Southside Nazarene Church, 8525 Cemetery Rd., Catlettsburg, KY 41129, led by Reverend Chris Crank.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Southside Church.  Reger Funeral Home Ceredo-Kenova Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  www.regerfh.com.
