Lois Jean Adkins Plybon, 89, of Huntington, passed away on Thursday October 17, 2024, at Heritage Center. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Gavin Napier on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 10:30am at the Reger Funeral Chapel, Huntington. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Lois was born on December 26, 1934, in Wayne, W.Va. to the late Albert and Gladys Brinegar Adkins. Lois was a 1952 graduate of Wayne High School. She was known as the Cookie Lady at 1st Street Big Bear for 24 years. She was a longtime bowler and a member of the Huntington Area Women's Bowling Association. She was a member of the Kellogg and Westmoreland PTA and a Vinson Band Booster. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ray Plybon; one infant son, Terry Lynn Plybon. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael "Mike" Ray (Barbara Ellen) Plybon; daughter, Tina Michelle (Tom Davis) Castle; two special daughters, Tonya Kazee and Tammy Ross; three grandchildren, Stacy (Mark) McGlone of Ashland, K.Y., Kacey Castle of Huntington, and Michael (Mercedes) Castle of Scott Depot, W.Va.; seven great grandchildren, Alex Castle Avenmarch, Autumn McGlone, Lilly McGlone, Kayden Castle, Norah Castle, Silas Castle and Emberly Castle; one sister, Carolyn Sue "Chick" Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Kathy Adams. Friends may call from 6-8 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Reger Funeral Home, Huntington or on Tuesday from 9:30 am until service time.
