Mrs. Lora Lucille Ledbetter passed away peacefully on October 24, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. She was born December 18, 1931 in Kiahsville, WV to Ernest and Dova Queen. They have preceded her in passing along with her sisters Alice Marie Queen of Kiahsville and Alma Faye Queen of Ashland, KY and brothers Bobby (Doris) Queen of Huntington, WV and Ersel Queen of Kiahsville, WV. She is survived by siblings Disal (Barbara) Queen of Kenova, WV, Kenneth (JoAnn) Queen of Painesville, OH, Leonard (Carolyn) Queen of Kiahsville, WV, Lester (Gladys) Queen of Mentor, OH, Nila (Donald) Irby of Lavalette, WV, Glenna (Roy) Blankenship of Prichard, WV and Velma (Chuck) Stidard of Parma, OH. As the oldest child of twelve, she loved all of the many nieces and nephews of her siblings so very much. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1949 and entered into Marshall University. She later met and married Robert L. Ledbetter and recently celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary. In addition to be survived by her husband, she leaves behind her son Dale (Dinah) Ledbetter of Ceredo, WV and Lisa (Greg) Shuler of Barboursville, WV. She was blessed with grandchildren Nicole (Jimmy) Parker of Huntington, WV, Keith Bailey of Barboursville, WV, and Mikah Ledbetter of Barboursville, WV. She gave all of her love to them and provided special care to Mikah throughout her life to ensure her special needs were met. In the past few years, her immediate family grew again with the birth of two beautiful great grandchildren Alexandria �Dria� Dayle Parker and Slayden �Shooter� Cole Patrick Parker, both of Huntington, WV. Geoffrey Shuler of Charleston, WV, Parker Shuler, of Lexington, KY, Carissa Shuler, of Huntington, WV, Z. Raymond Shuler, of Charleston, WV and Ziah Shuler, of Barboursville, WV became an additional part of her family upon her daughter�s marriage. Her love for God was expressed daily through her life as a faithful member of the Church of Christ, Cannonsburg, KY. Services will be conducted 11am Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Ceredo-Kenova Funeral Home with Minister Mike Fyffe officiating. Committal will be at 10am Thursday at the Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, OH. Visitation will be from 6-9pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed to the Wayne Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wayne, WV for providing loving care and compassion for her last few years of life as a resident and the support given to her family.
