Lucy Earl

Lucy Melton Earl, 53, of Huntington, died from an unidentified disease on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital with her loving husband and sons holding her hand as she took her last breath. Lucy was born on June 12, 1957 in Charleston, WV the daughter of the late Robert E. and Naomi Johnston Melton. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima by Fr. Jim Sobus. Lucy was a graduate of Nitro High School and Marshall University with a degree in Criminal Justice. She was a former President Cabell County Victim Advisory Board, worked at Cammack Children Center until 1992 and then worked for Family Services Inc. until 2009. She was an advocate for children and adults who had suffered abuse and trauma. She is survived by her husband: David Earl and two sons Zachary and Ryan Earl Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home
